Indigenous material
The John Oxley Library has extensive holdings of photographic material relating to Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders. These images portray the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders, and how they were perceived by early settlers.
The State Library aims to minimise any offence caused by giving notice that this site contains Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander material and information that may be culturally-sensitive to some individuals and communities. Users of this site and contributors to it are referred to the State Library’s Protocols for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collections [new window
